RINA @ CDU Travel Scholarship
This scholarship has been made available to support researchers to present oral papers at the ASFB conference to be held in Darwin in August 2025 with a view to developing collaborative partnerships with the aquaculture research group at Charles Darwin University (CDU)’s Research Institute for Northern Agriculture (RINA).
Value of Award
The award will support a return airfare, conference registration and accommodation up to a maximum value of $2000 per award.
Closing date for applications: 16th May 2025
The successful applicant/s will generally be notified by 30th June, 2025,
Conditions
The award is open to researchers who are working on aquaculture related research questions, whether fundamental or applied, and will be extended to encompass fisheries where the research relates to animal welfare.
The applicant must have their abstract accepted for an oral presentation at the conference.
Process for application
Select the application box with the ASFB portal when submitting abstract
Any student submitting an application must provide a letter of support from their supervisor.
Judging process
Entries will be judged by a RINA appointed committee. All award decisions will be final and made solely at the discretion of RINA and its appointees.
If the highest ranked papers are judged to be of equal merit, papers accepted to the Fish Welfare and Behaviour in Aquaculture and Fisheries session at the conference, and those involving Indigenous aquaculture and fisheries will be given priority.
